Professional Journey

Jake began his career in 2008, working for a nonprofit outreach program focused on helping at-risk teens. This role introduced him to fundraising, which later evolved into a successful career in sales and marketing, particularly in the nursing home industry. From 2010 to 2016, Jake worked in marketing for nursing homes before taking a bold step in 2016—purchasing his own nursing home facilities.

Today, Jake Walden serves as the Managing Partner of Emerald Healthcare, a leading network of skilled nursing facilities, senior housing, and healthcare services. Under his leadership, the company has grown to care for over 3,000 patients annually and employs more than 2,500 dedicated staff members. His expertise in turning around distressed healthcare facilities has helped save jobs, improve care, and create impactful relationships within the industry.
